For the one who always wanted to play
No lessons, no theory, nothing to get wrong. It sounds good from the first press, and that's what keeps them picking it up.
The GLIDE gift
GLIDE is a pocket synthesizer they can play the moment it's out of the box. No lessons, no app, no wrong notes. And two of its sounds are made on that one unit, the first time it powers on, and exist nowhere else.

The first minute
No setup, no download, no account to make. It teaches itself.
A finished instrument, played and tested by hand, with the latest firmware and a sound library on the card inside.
It opens straight into a short tour that asks for one gesture at a time and moves on when they do it.
Press anything. Scale lock means there are no wrong notes to find.
By the end of the tour they've slid between notes, changed key, and rolled a sound that didn't exist a minute ago.
There's a printed playing guide in the box too
Who it's for
No lessons, no theory, nothing to get wrong. It sounds good from the first press, and that's what keeps them picking it up.
Notes that slide like a bent string, a looper, tilt control and a deep sound engine underneath. Nothing else in the gear pile plays like it.
“I've been playing music for 15 odd years and soloing never once came naturally to me. I can play this thing with my eyes closed and I swear to you it still sounds good. An absolute game changer for approaching music for me.”

Pocket sized, runs on its own battery, and has a headphone jack for playing quietly. A better thing to pick up than a phone.
“Extremely easy to play. One of the best tools I have in my stack. Any moment I need something to fidget with, I'm picking up the synth.”

They don't have this. It's built by hand in small batches, and two of its sounds are unique to the unit you give them.
No two alike
The first time a GLIDE powers on, it makes a seed that belongs to that unit alone and rolls two of its ten sounds from it. Nobody else will ever have them, including us.
The one shown here was just rolled from a seed your browser made. Roll another and it's gone for good. That's what you're giving.
Rolling…
A browser sketch. The real engine has 16 characters and two dozen dials per roll.
Try it right here
This is GLIDE's keyboard in your browser. Press anything. Hold one key and tap another on the same row to slide. Tap a chord on the bottom row and play over it.
Press any key. Then try Start a beat.
Keyboard works too: 1 to 0, q to p, a to ; are the strings, z to / is the jam row. Same letters as the real thing.
A sketch of GLIDE running in your browser, so you can feel the gestures. The instrument has ten sounds, sixteen characters to roll new ones from, a looper, tilt control, a built-in speaker and a headphone jack.

Loved synths all my life, and as technology progresses I always see amazing things pop up. One of those things is GLIDE. It lets you jam hassle-free and enjoy music on the go, just like if you had a harmonica in your pocket.
FAQ
Not at all. Scale lock means every key is a note that fits, so there's nothing wrong to hit. The first time it's switched on, a short playable tour walks them through the rest, one gesture at a time.
Everything it needs. The instrument, programmed and tested by hand with the latest firmware, a microSD card as its sound library, and a printed playing guide.
None of the three. Nothing to sign into and nothing to renew. Firmware updates are free, forever, and they never wipe the sounds they've saved.
USB-C. It has a built-in rechargeable battery and charges from any USB-C charger or laptop port.
They'll still find something new. Every note slides into the next, the whole body tilts to shape the sound, and under the easy surface there's a looper, a chord row, and an Advanced mode that opens the full synth engine and turns every key into a chord.
One person. Every GLIDE is programmed, flashed, played and boxed by hand by its maker, Charles, in small numbered batches. He wrote the firmware too, and he answers questions himself on Discord.
Made by hand, in small batches
Ready to play the moment it's unwrapped, and still surprising them a year later.
