What people ask.
I don't know music theory. Can I actually play this?
Yes, in the first minute. Scale lock keeps every key in the song, so there are no wrong notes to hit. Hold one key and tap another and the note glides over like a finger sliding up a string. No app, no account, no WiFi.
Can I make an actual song, or just noises?
A whole song, alone. Latch a drone on the bottom row, tap in chords with no timing required, loop it with one button, then solo over yourself in a new sound. Tap tempo, chorus, reverb, and a delay that stays on the beat.
Why not just buy any cheap keyboard?
Because every one of those sounds the same. GLIDE invents its own sounds. Two were rolled the first time your unit powered on and exist nowhere else, and one tap rolls a fresh one whenever you like: pluck, bell, acid, wobble bass, bowed strings, and every roll is playable. Ten slots on the device, unlimited on microSD, and eighteen of the maker's own sounds free to download. Yours is yours.
What's the party trick?
Two of them. Lean the whole device to morph between sounds or add vibrato, wah, or swell. And hold fn+k near any speaker: it listens, works out what key the song is in and how fast it goes, then tunes itself to match, so you can play along with whatever's on.
Will I outgrow it?
That's the part that lasts. A modulation matrix, two LFOs, a second envelope, four filter modes, and a live FX rack, with quick-edit on every parameter. None of it required on day one. All of it waiting.
