Every note slides into the next
Hold one key and tap another on the same row, and the note glides over like a finger sliding up a string. Hold a chord and move it, and every note slides at once.
GLIDE · Pocket synth
Hold one key and GLIDE listens through its own microphone, works out the song's key, and retunes every key under your fingers to fit. Then you just play along. No theory, no hunting for the right notes.

Try it right here
The song below is in a key picked at random. The keys start in A minor, the way GLIDE does out of the box. Play along and some notes will fight the song. Then hit Listen, and play again.

Keyboard works too: 1 to 0, q to p, a to ; are the strings, z to / is the jam row. Same letters as the real thing.
A sketch of GLIDE running in your browser. The key detection here is real and runs on the song's audio. The instrument does it with its own microphone, from whatever is playing in the room, and has ten sounds, a looper, tilt control, a built-in speaker and a headphone jack.
On the real thing
Your phone, a record, the radio, a friend on guitar. If you can hear it, GLIDE can.
It goes quiet for a few seconds and works out the song's key, its mode and how fast it goes.
Every key now belongs to the song, and the echo falls into step with the beat. Same keys, same shapes.
A song that could go either way gets fewer notes, not a wrong one. A quiet room changes nothing.
It hears major, minor, Dorian and Mixolydian, and the tempo

I've been playing music for 15 odd years and soloing never once came naturally to me. I can play this thing with my eyes closed and I swear to you it still sounds good. An absolute game changer for approaching music for me.
Extremely easy to play. One of the best tools I have in my stack. Any moment I need something to fidget with, I'm picking up the synth.
Loved synths all my life, and as technology progresses I always see amazing things pop up. One of those things is GLIDE. It lets you jam hassle-free and enjoy music on the go, just like if you had a harmonica in your pocket.
And that's one feature
Hold one key and tap another on the same row, and the note glides over like a finger sliding up a string. Hold a chord and move it, and every note slides at once.
One thumb button records what you play, loops it on the beat, and layers more on top. Switch sounds and the whole loop changes with you.
The whole instrument is a controller. Tip it forward to morph between two sounds mid-note, side to side for vibrato. Your hands never leave the keys.
Two are rolled the first time your unit powers on and exist nowhere else. One tap rolls a new one any time, from sixteen characters: pluck, bell, acid, organ, strings and more.
FAQ
Anything with a key and a beat. It listens for a few seconds and names the key and mode, major, minor, Dorian or Mixolydian, plus the tempo. If a song plays both sides of a note, it drops to a safer five-note scale so nothing clashes. If it can't hear anything clear, it says so and changes nothing.
Not even slightly. That's the point of it. Scale lock means every key is a note that belongs, so you can't land on a wrong one. Hold a key and tap another to slide. That's the whole technique.
No. The microphone, speaker and battery are all built in. No app, no account, no WiFi, no subscription. Charge it over USB-C and play.
Yes. There's a built-in speaker for playing along out loud and a 3.5 mm jack for headphones or an amp.
